Refunds and the right of withdrawal
Last updated: 14 September 2026
This policy applies to paid courses bought from Blue Autonomy E.E. through the Academy. Free courses cost nothing and are outside it. It sits alongside our terms of service and does not reduce any right you have as a consumer under Greek or EU law.
1. Fourteen days to change your mind
If you buy as a consumer, you may cancel a course purchase within 14 days of the day you bought it, without giving a reason, as long as you have not started the course. Tell us by email at info@blueautonomy.gr, from the address on your account, saying which course you are cancelling. You may use the model form at the end of this page, but you do not have to. We refund the full amount, to the payment method you used, within 14 days of receiving your request.
2. Starting the course ends the right to withdraw
A course is digital content delivered at once: the moment access is granted, everything is available to you. The law therefore lets you waive the 14-day right in exchange for immediate access, and that is how the Academy works. When you buy, you will be asked to agree to immediate access and to acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once you begin. You begin a course the first time you do any of these:
- open a lesson beyond the free sample lesson;
- download one of the course's workbooks or other files;
- start the final examination.
Reading the free sample lesson, the course page and the syllabus does not count: those are open to everyone before buying.
3. After you have started
Once you have begun, there is no automatic refund. We will still put things right if the course is materially not what its page describes, or if a fault on our side stopped you using it. Write to us within 30 days of the purchase, say what went wrong, and we will answer within the timescales in our complaints procedure. Where a refund is the right answer, we give one.
Not passing the examination is not a ground for a refund: the pass mark, the number of attempts and the cooling-off period between them are published on the course page and in the terms before you buy.
4. What a refund means for access and certificates
When a purchase is refunded, access to the course is removed from the account. If a certificate had already been issued for that course, it is withdrawn and shown as withdrawn in the public register, and any specialisation certificate that depended on it is withheld. A refunded course cannot carry a live certificate.
5. Business customers
The 14-day right of withdrawal is a consumer right. If a company buys access for its staff, the purchase terms agreed with the company apply instead; section 3 still does.
6. Model withdrawal form
