Complaints and appeals
Last updated: 14 September 2026
If something about the Academy has gone wrong — a course, your account, a purchase, an examination result, a certificate — this page says how to tell us and what we will do. It applies to every learner, on free and paid courses alike.
1. How to complain
Email info@blueautonomy.gr with the subject "Academy complaint", from the address on your account if you have one. Tell us:
- which course, page or certificate it concerns;
- what happened, and when;
- what you would like us to do about it.
You do not need to use any particular form or language; English or Greek is fine.
2. What happens next
- We acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days.
- We give you a full answer within 20 working days. If we need longer — for example, because a technical question has to be checked — we tell you why and when to expect the answer.
- Every complaint is handled by the person responsible for the course, which for the Academy today is its author. We keep a record of each complaint and its outcome, and we review those records whenever a course is revised.
3. Appealing an examination or capstone result
Examinations and capstones are marked automatically on our server against a fixed answer key, so there is no marker's judgement to appeal. What you can appeal is the key, or the conditions of the attempt. Write to us with the subject "Academy appeal" within 14 days of the attempt and tell us which of these applies:
- A question is wrong. After each attempt you can see which questions you got wrong. Quote the question and say why you believe the expected answer is incorrect. We check it against the course material and the sources. If you are right, we correct the question for everyone, and we re-mark your attempt as though the corrected key had applied.
- The attempt failed for a technical reason. A server error, a lost session or a fault on our side. Tell us the date and time and what you saw. Where our logs bear it out, we void the attempt so that it does not count against your three.
- The rules were misapplied. For example, the cooling-off period or the number of attempts was not what the course page states. We check it against the record and put it right.
An appeal never lowers a score. We do not change a score by negotiation, and we do not disclose the answer key.
4. Certificates
If a certificate carries a wrong name or date, tell us and we will correct it. If a certificate of yours has been withdrawn, we will have told you why; if you disagree, appeal in the same way as above and we will look at it again.
5. If you are still not satisfied
If we have given you our final answer and you do not accept it, and you bought as a consumer, you may refer the matter to the Hellenic Consumer's Ombudsman (Συνήγορος του Καταναλωτή), the independent body for out-of-court consumer disputes in Greece, at synigoroskatanaloti.gr. Nothing here limits your right to go to court.
6. Something that is not a complaint
If you have spotted an error in a lesson, a broken link, or a figure that looks out of date, we would like to know just as much, and the same address reaches us. We date every lesson and revise courses when the rules they describe change; readers who tell us first are how that happens.
